Maximum Altitude :

Thorong Peak trek peak is an opportunity to climb your “first 6000m”. The ascent of Thorong Peak is about 6 hours A / R from the Thorong Pass and is not technically difficult. Then you have to go down to Multinath. The 3 to 7 hours are the same as the Annapurna Trek except for the Thorong Peak 8 to 10 hours to the Muktinath Lodge. For the ascent of Thorong we set up a camp at Thorong Pass at 5350 m. The next day, leave early. About an hour to reach the foot of the snow slope with an inclination of about 35 °. Then we come out on a small plateau that we cross to a corridor that we go back 100 m. Finally, by wide slopes slightly inclined one reaches the summit. It’s a big day because then it’s down to Muktinath.

Difficulty climbing Mera Peak

The ascent of Mera Peak is not technically difficult. However, she claims a good physical condition and a bivouac at 5700 m is necessary. The final slope is inclined at about 35 ° and 50 m high and equipped with a fixed rope. On the other hand, the Mera Peak with Amphulapsa is a bit more difficult. The crossing of the Amphulapsa requires to be able to cling to the ascent and descent in slopes of about 45 °, know how to use a descender, to walk roped, know how to use a jumar. You must be equipped with all its mountaineering equipment: metal cleats, ice ax, shoulder belt, 1 ice pin, 1 self closing safety carabiner, jumper, cord, frontal, a survival blanket, etc.

In all our circuits you have a free day the day after your arrival in Nepal or the return of your trek. We offer a day of discovery of Kathmandu. Browsing Bodhnath, Pashupatinath, Bhaktapur, Patan and the heart of the old city is always a change of scenery and a wonder.
